Based on another horse owner’s review of this product from a few months ago and how much I love my big five gallon Bucket Boss organizer, I purchased two Bucket Boss Parachute Bags, one for each horse. At first, they seemed a bit on the small side, but when we got through loading them up, my daughters were very impressed.

The bags are not very deep, and I thought this would be a detraction. It turned out to be a big plus because if you have ever used a bucket or a plastic cleaning tote for a grooming kit, you know that the amount of stuff that winds up on the bottom is really astounding … peppermint wrappers, horse treat crumbs, multiple hoof picks, pulling combs, riding gloves, hair elastics and clips, etc, etc. Although I won’t say I NEVER find anything unusual on the bottom of these bags, they tend to not fill up with detritus. The Parachute Bag has nifty side pockets for small grooming aids and larger compartments for brushes, hoof, coat and mane products, sweat scraper… anything you could possibly need to groom a horse. They are also wonderful to take in the trailer to shows or clinics. To top it off, they are DURABLE in the extreme. If you were to buy a similar product expressly made to be a grooming kit, you could add another fifteen bucks to the cost.

If you have a horse or pony, get yourself one and use the plastic thing for cleaning day!

Bag is very well made, The only thing about this bag is there is no way to keep the screws or whatever you keep in this bag seperated. The pockets are not complete, there is a gap between the sections where small screws and get mixed up.

Working in a photo studio alongside set builders, this parts and tool bag was suddenly on the set and I had never seen such a brilliant solution to so many organizational and project needs. This bag, with its very compact and impossible to tip over stature, is incredible, effective, simple in design, and just an overall great solution. Once I saw this organizer, I couldn’t wait to get one. It is practical and smart, one of those tools that you wonder how you did without. I like it so much that I’m getting two more for myself, to have each one be work specific, and I’m also getting several others to give to special people because it will help them organize their work projects and tools. Stacking three in a 5 gallon bucket keeps them clean, organized and out of the way. These are brilliant and the small amount of dollars spent on one of these is money so well spent. Be proud to own one of these parachute bags, it will streamline your work and make your process more zen. Work smart, work easy.

This item was not quite what I expected, but it will be handy. I expected that it would utilize a bucket. The description is not clear enough. With the name Bucket Boss, the description should state clearly whether or not the product makes use of a bucket.

I purchased this for a father in law who was planning on building shelves in his basement. I figured it would probably end up in a box and forgotten. He actually used it and it was very effective for what he needed. Nails, screws, pencils, razor, screwdriver, bits and other parts all fit nicely and could be kept separated and easily accessible. Though it is rather small the size turned out to be a good thing for the small parts and tools he used. It is about 12 inches in diameter and 8 inches high. it is made of pretty durable material and holds its shape well. He really likes it and has used it several times, even over his other tool boxes.

Home Improvement Contract Tips

Author: admin  :  Category: Articles Host

Many a soul has hired a contractor to do repairs or improvements on a home only to find something is fishy. Here are some tips to avoid problems.

Home Improvement Contract Tips

Hiring a contractor to do work on your home is not always as easy as it sounds. Many people call themselves contractors, but really are not. The first step to avoiding problems is to make sure you hire someone with who is actually licensed as a contractor. If you subsequently have problems, you can contact the licensing board to raise a dispute.

Most contractors are ethical, honest people and businesses. There are, however, others who are not. These individuals assume you do not really know what is involved in the construction process. This provides them with an opening to make substantially more profit. While you might think this means they will overbid the project, it does not. Most contractors believe you will pick the lowest price, so they rarely run up their estimate. There are, however, two other ways to boost profit.

The first thing unethical contractors will do is use low quality supplies. As with anything you buy, there is a high quality and lower quality version. While you may want the high quality version, you may have a hard time determining if you received it. The difference between high and low quality is often how long something lasts, not how it appears. The way to beat this problem is to specify the exact brand, size and part number [if possible in your contract. Doing so accomplishes two things. First, it puts the contractor on notice that you know how the process works. Second, you can always resort to legal action if you later find the correct materials were not used. Since you have everything in writing, the contractor has little defense.

A second unethical tactic is the bait and switch. In this process, the contractor gives you a bid price that cant possibly cover the project. You think you are getting a deal, but the contractor starts coming to you after the project has started requesting more money. The contractor refuses to continue work if you do not pony up. In this situation, the best defense is again to have everything in writing in the project contract. Make sure to include an attorneys fee clause in it. If the contractor tries this tactic, you should contact an attorney. The attorney will set the contractor straight. If the contract refuses to finish the job, you will probably be told by the attorney to hire a new contractor while he sues the unethical one. Since an attorneys fee clause is included in the agreement, you should end up paying no legal fees. This is not the best situation, but it beats getting scammed.

In general, the best way to find a contractor is to ask for referrals from trusted friends. Next, get everything in writing. With these two steps, you should avoid any major problems.

Surviving the Holidays

Author: admin  :  Category: Home Decoration

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through your space, not a countertop was clean, everything was out of place. The stockings were not hung by the chimney with care, since you’ve spent all day looking and they cannot be found anywhere. No one was nestled snug in their beds since there was so much stuff in the way everyone was sleeping on the couches instead. Neither one of us could find our kerchief and cap, we were both so stressed out, at any moment we could snap. When out on the roof there arose such a clatter, I tripped over six piles to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, the shutter was broken and so was the sash…’

We hope you like our amusing parody of a wonderful old holiday poem. Unfortunately, many people do not find much cheer in the holiday hustle and bustle. The holidays somehow tend to creep up on us, catching us stressed out and overwhelmed. There are visions of table settings that would rival Martha Stewart and food that is not only tasty, but it coordinates with the color theme of the occasion. Holidays bring out grandiose ideas in all of us. We catch ourselves thinking, “if I had more time”, “if I had more money”, “if I just worked a little bit harder”, “this is the year I’m actually going to”. Does any of that sound familiar?

Thanksgiving and Christmas are a myriad of complicated events. No other holiday throughout the year has this much pomp and circumstance associated with it. They are so close together, that Thanksgiving seems to be the pre-cursor to the Christmas stress. And, most of the stress is self-induced. We seem to put so much pressure on ourselves to have the Christmas cards done, buy everyone the best gifts, get all of the decorations out early, have kids school parties, buy teachers unique and amazing gifts for $10 or less, attend many holiday festivities, experience the spiritual events leading up to Christmas, make the most fabulous and tasty Christmas treats, and on and on. I’m tired just thinking about it!

Why can’t we just let it all go? Would there be a cosmic disturbance if we didn’t send out cards this year? Would the kids be scarred for life if we only put out half of the holiday decorations? Would our social life crumble if we only said ‘yes’ to one or two holiday parties? Why all the pressure?

Watching TV last night, I was reminded where some of the pressure comes from. There was a commercial for a local department store. The models were wearing coordinating holiday clothes, lounging on beautiful new furniture with a cashmere throw, and admiring all of their new gifts in their masterfully decorated room. It was a perfect looking holiday. I don’t know about you, but when we open gifts at my house, I’m barely awake, my hair is less than perfect looking, I’m wearing my old comfortable robe and sitting on our well-used furniture. Not the vision of perfection, but ideal for us. Is it less of a holiday because we don’t look like the perfection in the commercial? My view of perfection is not how my family looks, but how the holiday makes us feel. It doesn’t take much effort on anyone’s part to feel meaningful at Christmas, to feel loved and special.

I grew up in a modest household. Every year my sister and I waited with anticipation until the thick JC Penney holiday catalogue came. We would pour over each page imagining which wonderful toy we would get from Santa. By the time Christmas came, the catalogue pages were torn, corners were turned down and the book looked tattered. That was part of our holiday ritual. We knew we would not get all of the toys in the catalogue, even though we picked out many. I also remember that we used the same decorations every holiday and put them in the same place. Some of the decorations were crafted by my sister and me, and we were so proud to put those out every year. It was part of our holiday. It’s what we did.

How do we make our holidays meaningful, yet–stress free? The following is a list of five tips that will reduce stress during this busy time of the year.

1. Let go of grandiose ideas. Individually making your holiday cards would be really amazing, however, do you want to expend that much energy and time towards something that usually gets thrown away when the holiday is over? You don’t need your dinner table to look like a magazine. Allow your children to make your decorations and centerpieces and then you can check that off of your to do list. Also, consider hiring help. Have someone put up your decorations, lights, make your meal, etc. Allow someone else to help you, so that you can enjoy your holidays.

2. Strive for completion not perfection. The Flylady (http://www.flylady.com/) has a theory that a job done not-perfectly is still a job done. Her thinking is, that the end result is a finished job, not a job done perfectly. Both Lori and I get asked a lot “is your house just perfect all the time”? We both have kids, so obviously the answer to that is “no”. We also both understand that our end result is always organization, not perfection. We strive for that in our work and our personal lives. We always encourage that of others too. Striving for perfection takes too much time and energy, and seems to leave things undone because they can’t always be done perfectly.

3. Plan out your month. Traditions, memories, warm loving feelings are all things that people try to create throughout the holidays. Unfortunately, somewhere in the middle, come parties, shopping, and lots and lots of stress. Try to map out a plan early in the month for how you are going to handle some specific stressors like decorating the house inside and out, shopping, all of the parties, etc., so that you are not screaming at the family when things pop up at the last minute and you are not prepared. It does require some discipline, but having a plan for this busy time will force you to be more prepared.

4. If something comes in, something must go out. This is a steadfast rule of ours and it especially applies to this holiday. Seeing our children’s faces when they open a gift that they have been anxiously awaiting is a wonderful feeling. We all want to provide for our families and give them things they want. We also want to be able to walk in their playrooms and some weeding is necessary after the holidays. It’s much easier for children to let go of things when they see the pile of new things. So many people are in need this season and your discarded toys would make another child’s season much brighter.

5. Breathe. It sounds clich
